who we are

Wild Webs is owned and operated by Shane and Kelsey Winans.

We are a husband-and-wife team who design, weave, and install every Wild Webs project ourselves. Our work is hands-on from start to finish—there are no prefabricated systems, no outsourced crews, and no mass-produced components. Every installation is custom-built for the space it lives in and the people who will use it.

Between us, we bring decades of experience working in outdoor, recreational, and physically demanding environments. That background influences every decision we make, from how a net is laid out and tensioned to how it will hold up over time with real use. We think beyond aesthetics, focusing on durability, safety, and long-term performance.

Wild Webs was created to offer something intentional and well-built structures that invite people to climb, rest, gather, and interact with a space in a meaningful way. We approach each project as a permanent installation, not a temporary feature.

While Shane and Kelsey lead all design and on-site work, Wild Webs is supported by our business team, Bryan and Raquel Axtell, who assist with operations and organization behind the scenes. This allows us to stay focused on craftsmanship and client experience while maintaining a professional, reliable process.

We take on a limited number of projects each year to ensure every build receives the time, attention, and care it deserves.
